Tourists for a day

You want it short? Bad start, nice day!

We, the three young people from Germany, have arrived at Malta late yesterday, after a not-so-very-special flight.

Expecting to picked up for a Malta jeep safari at 8:45 this morning, we stood up early, just to find out that the jeep safari was not going to take place today and we would have to register at the congress hotel first anyway.

So we switched our plan and bought a day ticket for the busses for just 3,50€ per person and started traveling. The line we choose took us all along the northern costline from Sliema to Golden Bay. Although the ride was a little bumpy, we liked the bus very much and were just overwelmed by what we saw.

After we arrived at our destination, we were a little worried about the place being very toursity, but in the end we are totally happy with our tour. The landscape was very diverse, having both, sandy beaches and steep coast. The hills were suprisingly green with flowers even. But have a look yourself:

Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed being there.

The rest of the day was spent in Valetta were we registered at the conference hotel and with the trip back to the hotel – but that’s another story :)

The Congress program will start tomorrow and we will get right into it then.

All the best,
Robert
